This Summer It’s ‘All For The Hall’

Guild Hall has reinvented its traditional season of events to announce a new, redesigned 2020 Summer Season, which will combine both online and in-person events, through new platforms.
The season will also renew Guild Hall’s focus on collaborating and investing in local and regional artists to help restart the artistic economy of the East End.
Instead of the annual Guild Hall benefit, a new exhibition, entitled “All for the Hall” will seek to raise funds for the institution’s Restart Fund. Set in motion by renowned American artist and recent community member, Robert Longo, all of the works in the exhibition have been donated by celebrated artists and will be on sale to benefit Guild Hall. Guild Hall has postponed its planned summer exhibitions for 2020 and instead will present them in 2021 and 2022.
Through creating intimate experiences for smaller audiences, transforming Guild Hall gardens and grounds into magical presentation spaces, and redesigning programs to take place “en plein air,” Guild Hall will present a must-see line up of dazzling and uplifting performances, exhibitions, arts education and more for summer 2020, all while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
“As an interdisciplinary arts organization supported by a local community of boundless creativity, we are perfectly placed to reinvent and redesign artistic experiences of all kinds,” said Andrea Grover, executive Director of Guild Hall. “I am truly excited about the outdoor acoustic music, intimate theatrical performances, and temporary art installations and video projections that we are planning. I’ve no doubt this will be one of our most innovative seasons yet, as we approach 90 years of providing joy and relief through the arts.”
