Like A Leader

Let’s stop the political bickering. How could anyone complain about Andrew Cuomo? Do all of you have such a short memory? He handled the pandemic problem by calming and supporting our citizens. During a once-in-100-year pandemic, with the hospitals filled, where people were dying in numbers that we have never seen before, he handled it like a leader he is.

It’s unconscionable that he should be prosecuted for his actions. Yes, nursing homes were the worst hit. Does it really matter whether deaths took place in hospitals or nursing homes? Everyone knew the elderly were the most vulnerable. People died, and the families could not see them and say goodbye. That is a tragedy, but this was not Cuomo’s doing.

So now the politicians and the nay-sayers are criticizing this leader who acted like a true leader. Perhaps they should spend their time calming the state — he was one of the very few governors who did.

He was also one of the few governors able to get out of President Trump what the state needed. He won’t say he’s sorry, because those words will follow him everywhere, but he does take full responsibility. What more can you ask?

Are we children still playing games? Do we have to vilify a man who protected us?

By the way, my income comes from a restaurant and a hotel. Governor Cuomo has handled the pandemic with strength and compassion, and we should be proud of him. I’m sure his father would be.
