Westhampton Beach Elementary School students broadened their art skills through a self-portrait project inspired by artist Roy Lichtenstein. For the project, the students took photos of themselves and transferred the images to canvas, which they carefully painted during several months.

Krista Savino’s fourth grade class at Hampton Bays Elementary School recently participated in an engaging lesson about the Titanic. Each student received a boarding pass with the name of a real Titanic passenger. They then researched the individual passengers, noting what class they would have been in and whether they made it off the Titanic.
