I am writing in support of Mark Parash and Andrew Pilaro for Southampton Village trustees in the coming election on June 18.
As we approach election day, I am continually impressed with Mark and Andrew’s calm demeanor in the face of an increasingly uncivil election. Mark and Andrew are men of honesty and integrity, qualities that are essential for engaging in thoughtful conversations about what is most important in our community. These men neither boast about their accomplishments nor tear down their opponents.
Mark and Andrew care deeply about serving the people of Southampton Village. They believe in sensible community building. They believe in good governance. They believe in transparency. Mark and Andrew will continue to move Southampton Village forward in a positive manner.
They have earned our collective confidence over the last two years and deserve reelection on June 18.

We are witnessing a rising tide of antisemitism in our country. However, its origins are not from the usual suspects. This current surge of bigotry did not originate with white supremacists, neo-Nazis or the KKK. No, it’s coming from the...
We are squandering resources at an alarming rate. We are without the will to stop it. Just stop. Can’t stop using too much water … so sewer. Watch the vernal ponds dry up and disappear and then wonder why. We’re...

Ed Surgan stated that our universities are sick and that their student demonstrators only want death to America after it pays off their student loans [“Make-Believe Radicals,” Letters, May 2]. Mr. Surgan was spewing all sorts of bile, but much...
