Sailed Through Storm

I believe everyone in the Sag Harbor community should be very proud of how our schools have remained open throughout the school year. Whereas the city schools have relegated to mostly remote learning, which has been a catastrophic disaster, Sag Harbor, in true courageous, sea-faring fashion, has sailed through the storm without fanfare.

The board, administration, teachers, staff, parents and students should be proud that even in uncertain times they stayed the course and allowed our students to thrive during the most difficult times without nearly a hiccup.

So, thank you to all of those who cared collectively about the future to see that it was more important for the community to sail through the darkness than to cower in the cove. Our community salutes your courage and fortitude and thanks you for your commitment to educating our community.
