Springs School Board of Education member Timothy Fraizer with board president Barabara Dayton, received the SCOPE Educational Services School Board Service Award last week in Springs. Julie Bistrian and Kelly Carmona were also honored with Support Staff Service awards, as were school nurses Tara Gurney and Debra Gherardi.

Donning white and green caps and gowns, members of the Westhampton Beach High School Class of 2021 proudly marched through the halls of their former elementary school on June 21, both to reminisce about their early school days and to provide inspiration to current students. As they took the traditional senior walk, the elementary students cheered, clapped and held up signs of congratulations.

The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame is accepting applications for its 2024 Student Scholarship program. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 10. LIMEHOF will award $500 scholarships to eligible graduating students from Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens, or Kings (Brooklyn) counties who have shown an interest in pursuing a career in music. The Karish Education Fund of the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons is now accepting scholarship grant applications from qualified current and future students of horticulture and related fields, such as agriculture, botany, landscape architecture, garden design, and environmental science. Graduating high school seniors, professional certification participants, and college level students are eligible to apply.
