I find that Democrats and Republicans alike will say in a political discussion, “Oh, those self-eating Dems can’t make policy … can’t get together …”

I have been thinking about this for a while.

Republicans, no matter who they are as a political entity, have a very narrow agenda.

Democrats, on the other hand, have everything else — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Joe Manchin and all in between. The party of disenfranchised communities, the environment, labor, middle class, civil rights and dog care.

We have grown to believe that this is okay, and that this is who they are and who they represent, and the Democrats disappoint when they can’t get their community-sensitive bills passed, and isn’t that awful how unorganized they are … blah, blah, blah.

I wonder why no one ever wonders why Republicans are not ever fighting for community issues?

I think a healthy democracy is one with opposing views, and the Democrats both nationally and locally represent a healthy democracy, to a fault, but we should — and I mean should — be all on the same page to bring our entire community up in a healthy and safe community, and not arguing money or civil liberties, money or clean water.

Vote for our lives. I believe we can have it all.
