To do their part to give back to the community, members of the Southampton Intermediate School's  Early Act Service Club are collecting gently used coats. All of the coats collected will be donated to Heart of the Hamptons.

Hampton Bays Elementary School fourth graders learned more about the lives and history of Native Americans during a presentation by Journeys into American Indian Territory on December 16 at the Hampton Bays Fire firehouse. Through the interactive workshop, students explored a Native American museum featuring artifacts such as clothing, dolls, pottery and a longhouse replica. They also listened to traditional Native American stories, played Native American games and
constructed clay pots.

Members of the Hampton Bays Elementary School K-Kids community service club are holding a coat drive for local families in need. The coat drive is one of the many fundraisers the K-Kids have hosted this school year. In November, they collected food to donate to local families for Thanksgiving, and in October, they raised $500 for the American Cancer Society.

Members of the Dance Company of Our Lady of the Hamptons School performed for the parish family of the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary at the annual Christmas pageant. The group then prepared to join the school community for the school show, “On-Time Delivery.”

With holiday wrapping paper and tape in hand, members of the Westhampton Beach High School student government recently wrapped gifts for local families in need as part of their annual Operation Adopt-A-Family. To raise funds for the effort, the Student Council held a “change wars” fundraiser in which classes competed to collect the most coins.
