Bryan C. Eldridge of Sag Harbor died on December 22. He was 43.

Eldridge was a graduate of Northport High School and received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta College, where he excelled in lacrosse.

Eldridge served in the NYPD for two years, after which he joined the East Hampton Village Police Department, serving on a Drug Task Force and was part of the DARE program. He rose to the rank of detective, and during his time there saved the life of a local woman who had gone into cardiac arrest, earning him an Officer of the Year Award.

He is survived by his wife, Rachelle (Kiselyak); his daughters Bella and Lola of Sag Harbor; his father, Stephen Eldridge (Luann); his mother Christine Devens; his twin brother, Kevin Eldridge (Dee); older brother, Michael Eldridge; and sister, Dianne Leidigh (Alan); as well as four nephews, a niece, a step-niece and step-nephew.

A Memorial Service was held for Eldridge at the East Hampton High School Auditorium on December 30.
