Summer Outdoor Screening Series

HamptonsFilm is bringing back the East Hampton Summer Outdoor Screening Series for 2022.

On Wednesday evenings from June 22 through August 24, HamptonsFilm will screen classic crowd-pleasers in Herrick Park in East Hampton Village (except for the August 3 screening, which will be held at Main Beach). Screenings begin approximately at sundown.

Seating is free and open to the public. Visit HamptonsFilm.org to reserve an 8-foot-square space, free of charge, which can accommodate up to six guests. Additional guests will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Squares in the front two rows near the screen are available for purchase. Proceeds support HamptonsFilm’s educational initiatives. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

June 29: “Sister Act” (1992)

July 6: “Aladdin” (1992)

July 13: “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981)

August 17: “Apollo 17” (1995)

(Rain date: August 24)

SummerDocs Are Back

The HamptonsFilm SummerDocs series will also return for its 14th year with three documentary films. This year’s SummerDocs screening events will take place on June 25, July 23 and August 13. Films will be announced at a later date.

Hamptons International Film Festival

The 30th annual Hamptons International Film Festival takes place October 7 to 16 as an expanded 10-day event.

HamptonsFilm is also commemorating the festival’s 30th anniversary with “The First 30” program. Throughout 2022, HamptonsFilm is reviving some of the memorable films that screened during the film festival. Each week, someone affiliated with the film or the festival will look back on the film’s impact during the festival.

More information on the program and where to stream selected titles can be found at hamptonsfilmfest.org.
