Hurricane pride was on full display as the Westhampton Beach School District celebrated homecoming during the week of September 19. The spirit week festivities included a pep rally and homecoming football game, held under the lights on September 23. During the game, the Westhampton Beach Hurricanes took on the East Hampton Bonackers. The crowd cheered as the home team claimed victory with a final score of 49-13. Southampton High School’s Outing Club enjoyed its first outing of the school year at Coopers Beach on the evening of September 27. Club members surfed, swam, and played beach soccer and spike ball. They also learned to surf and speak with the five lifeguards on duty about the certification process.
