Hurricane pride was on full display as the Westhampton Beach School District celebrated
homecoming during the week of September 19.
The spirit week festivities included a pep rally
and homecoming football game, held under the lights on September 23. During the game, the Westhampton Beach Hurricanes took on the East Hampton Bonackers. The crowd cheered

Southampton High School’s Outing Club enjoyed its  first outing of the school year
at Coopers Beach on the evening of September 27. Club members surfed, swam, and played beach soccer and spike ball. They also learned to surf and speak with the five lifeguards on duty about the certification process.

The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame is accepting applications for its 2024 Student Scholarship program. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 10. LIMEHOF will award $500 scholarships to eligible graduating students from Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens, or Kings (Brooklyn) counties who have shown an interest in pursuing a career in music. The Karish Education Fund of the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons is now accepting scholarship grant applications from qualified current and future students of horticulture and related fields, such as agriculture, botany, landscape architecture, garden design, and environmental science.
