To foster unity at Hampton Bays Middle School, students and staff worked together to create a lip dub music video on November 22. Wearing purple, students lined their school’s hallways with signs and performed acts and dances while lip syncing to music as a camera passed them. This is the first time the school has come together for its traditional lip dub since the COVID-19 pandemic. The video is available for viewing on youtube.com. COURTESY HAMMPTON BAYS SCHOOL DISTRICT

Southampton Elementary School third grade students celebrated Native American Heritage Month with a special visit by John Boyd and Serena Lee of the Shinnecock Nation. Students heard about Shinnecock culture and traditions and were taught a round dance. They also had an opportunity to ask questions. The event was
