A six-bedroom custom home built by East Hampton’s Forst & Silverblank in 2001 in Amagansett has sold for $6.5 million after asking $7.35 million.

At 186 Skimhampton Road, the approximately 1-acre property is within a mile of the sand at Indian Wells Beach, according to the Brown Harris Stevens listing, which states it has 10-foot ceilings, heart pine floors and four fireplaces, and the southern exposure provides an abundance of natural light throughout.

The first floor includes the living room, kitchen, breakfast area, sunroom, formal dining room, library, a primary suite, a separate bedroom and one full and one-half bath. The second floor has three en suite bedrooms with window seats and built-in bookshelves, an office and a primary bedroom suite with a private balcony overlooking the pool and gardens.

The lower level is partially finished with a media room, recreational room, gym, full bath, and walk-out access.

The grounds designed by The Bayberry include a pool with hot tub, a grilling station, an outdoor fireplace and an attached three-car garage.

The deal closed on September 19, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. The seller was Constance Zeckendorf and the buyer was 186 Skimhampton Owner LLC.

Roxanne A. Briggs and Shannan M. North of Brown Harris Stevens represented the seller.
