Read the 'Bible'

Many extremely wealthy American businessmen have returned to supporting Donald Trump after fiercely criticizing him for his role in the January 6 insurrection. They have explained that they believe that a second Joe Biden term will be detrimental for them financially.

Besides the blatant lack of integrity that reversal represents, they are proving Trump’s point: If you just keep scaring people, they eventually will believe that you are the only one who can save them.

These presumably intelligent businessmen are overlooking the preponderance of messaging from Trump that the way he plans to “save” everyone is by setting up an autocratic government. It’s called Project 2025. And they believe that is good for business?

Historically, our government does not suppress the wealthy. It usually gives them too much latitude so that they get themselves, and usually the less wealthy, into trouble. Bernie Madoff, the legal sale of opioids and the sub-prime mortgage mess are recent examples.

I am one who would probably benefit from Trump’s pro-rich policies. However, I am unwilling to take the risk of putting my future and future of my children in the hands of a megalomaniac, despite the financial gains for me personally.

The stakes of the 2024 election are higher than ever before. I suggest you read about Project 2025, also referred to as a “policy bible,” and let your moral compass, or your pocketbook, make the decision for you.
