An Amagansett house will be featured on the newest Bravo series, “9 By Design,” on Tuesday, May 4.

The eight-episode series, featuring husband and wife design team Bob and Cortney Novogratz, premiered earlier this month and airs every Tuesday at 10 p.m. on Bravo. The “Weekend in the Hamptons: Episode 104” will focus on how the two designers, who are married and have seven children, go head-to-head when Ms. Novogratz insists on taking on a low budget job for a prominent client in the Hamptons, which she thinks will result in more referrals. But her husband thinks that the job isn’t worth the trouble.

While searching for a nanny who can handle their seven kids, the
designers completed a total gut job on the 1970s ranch-style Amagansett house. Gone were the dated furnishings and floor plans when the couple knocked down lots of walls, renovated the bathroom, kitchen and patio/deck, and
painted the home white with
colorful accents to give it an open “beachy” feel.

Other episodes in the series
feature large-scale design projects, including a 24-room hotel on the
New Jersey shore, a 10,000-square-foot glass house in Manhattan and a
home conversion of a gun shop in Manhattan.

The premiere season of “9 By Design” was produced by Left/Right Inc., with Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver serving as executive producers. For more information, visit BravoTV.com.
