Bay Street Theater opens its 2025 Music Mondays series with legendary Tony Award-winning stage and screen actress Betty Buckley, who will be joined by celebrated jazz pianist Christian Jacob, for a concert on Monday, June 30, at 8 p.m.
Buckley’s Bay Street show will be her only appearance on the East End this summer. Hailed as the “Voice of Broadway,” Buckley is a master storyteller whose performances blur the line between song and scene. Joined by the extraordinary Christian Jacob — nine-time Grammy nominee and a pianist of rare emotional clarity — this intimate concert promises a night of depth, beauty and musical connection.
A transformative presence in musical theater, Buckley has captivated audiences for decades with her singular interpretations and emotional depth. From her breakout performances to her ongoing concert tours, she continues to push the boundaries of storytelling through song.
Whether interpreting a classic or discovering new repertoire, Buckley doesn’t just perform — she inhabits. Her command of lyric and phrase reveals the quiet strength beneath every note, creating a live experience that is deeply personal and unmistakably hers. Her return to Bay Street Theater’s stage is a celebration of craft, clarity and connection. Buckley brings her voice, her insight, and her unmatched ability to turn a song into something immediate, something alive.
Tickets for “An Evening With Betty Buckley & Christian Jacob” on Monday, June 30, are $100 to $160 at baystreet.org. Additional Music Monday performances include Kelli O’Hara on July 7, and Harlem Gospel Choir on August 11. Bay Street Theater is on Long Wharf in Sag Harbor.
