The Amagansett Library will kick off its annual series, “Authors After Hours,” with a reading by Louis Begley on Saturday, July 14.
Mr. Begley, the author of “Schmidt Steps Back,” will appear from 6 to 7 p.m. to discuss this latest in the series about character Albert Schmidt.
Next up in the series will be Hilma Wolitzer on Saturday, July 21. She will discuss “An Available Man,” which is about finding love again after losing a spouse. Carl Safina will read from and discuss “The View from Lazy Point: A Natural Year in an Unnatural World” on Saturday, July 28.
The series continues in August with Roger Rosenblatt on August 4 with a talk on “Kayak Morning: Reflections on Love, Grief, and Small Boats”; Allan Retzky on August 18, who will talk about his first novel, “Vanished In The Dunes”; and will end with Dava Sobel on August 25 discussing “A More Perfect Heaven: How Copernicus Revolutionized the Cosmos.”
