This weekend, Bedside Reading, the hotel amenity that places a wide variety of complimentary books in the rooms of guests staying at select hotels and inns on the East End, is back. Starting Friday, July 26, Bedside Reading is offering guests a selection of historical and fantasy fiction, memoirs, suspense and children’s and young adult titles from the program’s participating authors.

“We love it when every member of the family can enjoy our books,” said Jane Ubell-Meyer, founder of Bedside Reading. “And there is nothing better than feeling good about sharing the love of reading with everyone through our variety of books.”

July 26 weekend book selection includes: “The Boots Rain” by Kelly Manuel (children’s); “The Good at Heart” by Ursula Werner (historical fiction); “Have You Seen These Children?” by Veronica Slaughter (memoir); “A Pair of Oars” by Kerrina Kuhns (fantasy fiction); “Scout’s Honor” by John McNellis (suspense); “Vincent’s Women” by Donna Russo (historical fiction); “Blue’ by Rachel LaBella (children’s); “Daughter of a Thousand Stars” by Hajah Kandeh (memoir); “The Water Door” by Aggie L. Jae (young adult).

Founded in 2017, Bedside Reading’s mission is to help authors build their fan base by connecting their books to readers and providing hotel guests the opportunity to unplug and delve into the world of words at some of the world’s most sought-after destinations.

Books are complimentary to the following hotels and inns: East Hampton — Mill House Inn, The Maidstone. Journey East Hampton, and Baker House 1650; Southampton — Southampton Inn, 1708 House and Capri Southampton; Montauk — MARRAM and Beachcomber Resort at Montauk.
