Fest-O-Fives At Guild Hall

author on Dec 7, 2010

The Naked Stage will host a “Fest-of-Fives” reading with winners from the “Fest-of-Fives” playwriting contest to be staged at Guild Hall in East Hampton on Tuesday, December 14, at 7:30 p.m.

At least five 15-minute plays, written by local authors, will be read by local talent. The contest was open to all East Enders and all of the 15-minute plays will have been written during a five-day stretch.

According to Josh Perl, founder of The Naked Stage, the contest is the group’s way of engaging and encouraging the local writing community to take risks and have fun. It is also our theatrical way of celebrating the holiday.

The readings are free, and are sponsored in part by Dina Merrill and Ted Hartley.

Casting is for two females and two males. The play will be directed by Mary Powers and performance dates are October 16 to November 2. Rehearsals will begin September 4.
