Water|Bodies, a creative exhibit hosted by the New York Academy of Art and curated by North Haven artist Eric Fischl and Academy President David Kratz will open at the Southampton Arts Center on Saturday, July 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit will remain on view through July 31.

Sponsored by Cadogan Tate, the exhibit will feature paintings, photographs and sculptures by distinguished and developing native artists to the East End of Long Island and Manhattan. Everything is connected to water, as we on the South Fork know only too well. The purpose of this exhibit is to explore water and bodies, and how they unavoidably converge in so many aspects of life. Some themes include the sea, its shore, pools, and sunbathers, both clothed and nude to interweave themes of natural beauty and the nature of pleasure. Over 30 artists, including Ross Bleckner, Patrick Demarchelier, Eric Fischl, Ralph Gibson, Isca Greenfield-Sanders, April Gornik, Michael Halsband, Enoc Perez and David Salle will be on view.

The Southampton Arts Center is located at 25 Jobs Lane in Southampton. For more information, visit southamptonartscenter.org.
