On Friday, July 7, at 8 p.m., Suffolk Theater presents Legends of Classic Rock, a classic rock supergroup.

Legends of Classic Rock includes former members of Bad Company, Great White, Ozzy Osbourne, White Lion, Alice Cooper and Quiet Riot. These former members include Terry Ilous as lead vocalist, Gregory D’Angelo on drums, Chuck Wright on bass and back vocals, Jason Boyleston as the lead guitarist and Kevin Jones on the keyboards. This stellar line-up dives into their vast repertoire of hits associated with their careers spanning the 1970s and 1980s, including: “Eye of the Tiger,” “Born To Be Wild,” “Rock Me” and many more.

Ilous, lead vocalist, formed the hit hard rock bank XYZ in 1984. XYZ went on to play with iconic artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Soundgarden, Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper. In 2011, Ilous became the official lead singer for the mega platinum rock band Great White for an extensive U.S. tour. Ilous wrote the song “Hard to Say Goodbye,” which reached number eight on Billboards classic rock radio chart.

Drummer D’Angelo was part of Metallica’s first East Coast tour. He later joined White Lion, which spent years touring, building a following and ultimately signing with Atlantic Records. Their debut album “Pride” was certified multi-platinum and contained several top 40 singles. White Lion embarked on a two-year world tour performing with Kiss, Aerosmith, ACDC and Ozzy Osbourne, among others.

Wright, the bass player and backing vocalist, is best known for his 26 years with multi-platinum hard rock band Quiet Riot, playing bass and singing on the first ever #1 metal album on Billboard Hot 100 chart “Metal Heath.” His reputation as one of the most sought-after bass players has landed him gigs with Alice Cooper, Slash, Gregg Allman, Carmine Appice, Montrose, members of Kiss, John Waite, members of Guns-N-Roses and Pat Travers.

Boyleston, lead guitarist, performed with the Paul Rodgers band and Bad Company for 5 years. He was also a longtime performer with the hit live music show Rock Vault in Las Vegas and toured with Starship featuring Mickey Thomas. Furthermore, Boyleston played electric and acoustic guitar on Jon Anderson of Prog super-group Yes solo album.

Jones, the keyboardist, is also known by some as Wizard of Ozzy, due to his performing live with Ozzy Osbourne. He began his career in Kansas playing in local bands until The Wumblies, a top regional band, asked him to join. The Wumblies later went on to tour extensively until being asked to join Ozzy Osbourne’s new line with Zak Wylde and Mike Inez. Over the years Jones has created music for television and film as an engineer/mixer working on such iconic shows as “Seinfeld,” “Frazier” and “Star Trek Voyager” to name a few.

Tickets for the show are $49 to $79 at thesuffolk.org. The Suffolk is located at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
