On Friday, February 3, at 8 p.m., Suffolk Theater presents “90s Alt-Rock Night” with the theater putting all the best of 1990s alternative rock into one show including local favorites Bombtrack, Nearvana and Unglued performing the hits from Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, and Stone Temple Pilots. These legendary bands helped define the era’s alternative rock scene and this concert is meant to both celebrate their influence as well as relive an incredible decade of music.

While The Suffolk hasn’t presented quite this genre of music before, it does serve as a perfect venue for it. Complete with an open dance floor, people can enjoy the show from their table or head down to the pit to watch from the floor.

Tickets are $45 and available online at SuffolkTheater.com. Suffolk Theater is at 118 East Main Street in Riverhead.

Challenging traditional definitions of representation while mining the universal code he has found in the stars, Torreano distills the intangible mystery of the cosmos by translating outer space into painterly space.
