The Westhampton Rotary Club is hosting a fundraiser at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. featuring Hampton Bays singer Christiaan Padavan (fresh from his appearance on “American Idol”) followed by “The Extreme Magic of Eric Wilzig.”Mr. Wilzig, a master illusionist, is considered one of the hottest performers in the magic industry today and he has captivated audiences worldwide with his touring illusion shows.
During the show, which combines cutting-edge illusions, daring escapes, outrageous stunts and special effect lighting, Mr. Wilzig will hang upside-down 20 feet in the air locked in a straight jacket as he attempts to escape the death-defying Jaws"—a feat inspired by Harry Houdini.
With ovation-filled acts on NBC's "America’s Got Talent,” and sold-out shows at The Tropicana, Caesars, and The Resorts Hotel in Atlantic City, Mr. Wilzig has headlined performances in New York, Las Vegas, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean. He and his assistant, Taylor Giampaolo, bring a youthful modern vitality and passion to magic and put on a high-energy show for the entire family.
“The Extreme Magic of Eric Wilzig” is Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, 76 Main Street. Admission is $25 for adults ($15 seniors/children ages 6 to 12). VIP tickets, including a meet and greet at 6:30 p.m., are $50. All tickets are available at whbpac.org.
