‘Mixed Nuts’ at Bay Street

authorStaff Writer on Dec 8, 2023

Looking for an alternative to the traditional holiday shows this year? Look no further than “Mixed Nuts” offered by the young dancers of Studio 3 in Bridgehampton. “Mixed Nuts” is Studio 3’s version of “The Nutcracker.” The troupe’s multi-discipline dance performance of original ballet, tap, contemporary and hip hop dance choreography is restaged annually at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor. Simply put, it’s “The Nutcracker” with a ‘twist’. Since 2011, Studio 3 dancers have retold the classic story of “The Nutcracker” along with the storyline from another familiar tale. Past “Mixed Nuts” productions have features twists of “The Wizard of Oz,” “Annie,” “Peter Pan” and “The Grinch,” to name a few.

Performances of Studio 3’s “Mixed Nuts” are Friday, December 15, at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 16, at 4 p.m. and Sunday, December 17, at 1 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door prior to each performance for $30, cash only. Bay Street Theater is on Long Wharf in Sag Harbor.
