Peter Pennoyer and Anne Walker, authors of the recently published “The Architecture of Grosvenor Atterbury,” will present an illustrated lecture on the architect and sign copies of their book at the Parrish Art Museum on Thursday, August 6, at 8 p.m.
Grosvenor Atterbury (1869-1956) produced more than 100 major projects, including grand mansions on the East End and the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton.
Mr. Pennoyer, the principal partner of the architecture firm that bears his name, has a national practice in classical and traditional architecture. The Pennoyer firm has designed houses and institutional projects from New York to California.
Ms. Walker holds a master’s degree in historic preservation from Columbia University. She has coauthored “The Architecture of Warren & Wetmore” and “The Architecture of Delano & Aldrich.”
Admission to the lecture is $10, or $5 for Parrish members. “The Architecture of Grosvenor Atterbury,” published by W.W. Norton, has 46 color and 343 duotone photographs, and retails for $75, or $63.75 for museum members.
