“Sex: What She’s Really Thinking” opens at the Southampton Cultural Center on Thursday, January 9. The play, a collaboration between Ilene Beckerman and Michael Disher, delves into the many unspoken thoughts that women, and men, have when sexual subjects and scenarios arise. First encounters, facts, fictions, fantasies and finalities are presented in a fast-paced flurry of monologues and sketches filled with wisdom and wit.
“Sex: What She’s Really Thinking” features Bonnie Grice, Joan Lyons, Matthew O’Connor, Tom Rosante, Amy Rowland, Danielle Shuman, Gina Surnicki and Josephine Wallace. Mr. Disher directs. Ms. Beckerman’s “Love, Loss and What I Wore” staged at the Southampton Cultural Center in 2013.
“Sex: What She’s Really Thinking” will stage from Thursday, January 9, through Sunday, January 26, at the Southampton Cultural Center. Show times are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $22.
