The Parrish Art Museum presents Spring Fling, its annual community celebration, fundraiser and networking event, on Saturday, May 6, from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at the museum.

Activities throughout the museum include dancing in the Lichtenstein Theater, bidding on the silent auction in the lobby, enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres and small tasting plates in the lobby and theater, and exploring exhibitions in the Parrish galleries. The silent auction offers unique goods and services donated by the East End business and professional community, including luxury handbags and designer accessories, gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses, decorative items and artworks by artists and artisans, plus an array of unique spa, sport, and educational experiences on the East End.

Guests at Spring Fling are invited to experience the museum’s new exhibition: “Artists Choose Parrish, Part I” — the first installment of a landmark exhibition series featuring internationally renowned contemporary artists with deep roots on the East End presenting their work alongside their selections from the permanent collection.

A Parrish tradition for nearly three decades, Spring Fling raises over $100,000 annually for education programs, including Access Parrish, which offers learning experiences specifically designed for youth and adults with varied needs and abilities, including children on the autism spectrum, and individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia or Parkinson’s Disease, and their care partners. The event also supports year-round school collaborations, tours, studio activities, programs developed with regional educators, after school art workshops, school vacation programs, weekly open studios for families and teens, bi-lingual family tours, and the annual Student Exhibition.

Tickets are $250 ($200 for Parrish members) and $300 after April 28. Advance purchase is recommended at parrishart.org or by contacting the benefit events office at 631-283-2118 ext. 167, or emailing benefitevents@parrishart.org.

Parrish Art Museum is at 279 Montauk Highway, Water Mill.
