The Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons (WACH) invites the public to take a pause from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with the creative spirit at “The Creator’s Hour: Artmaking With the Community.”
Led by art educator Linda White, this free series of hands-on workshops invites participants of all ages and skill levels to gather, play and explore with materials like fabric, buttons, ribbon and textured paper. Held in the welcoming setting of WACH, “The Creator’s Hour” is not about creating a finished product to take home — it’s about the joy of making in the moment.
Participants are encouraged to come with a friend, a neighbor or a grandchild, and enjoy this time to slow down, make something side by side, and let go of expectations. No experience or talent is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to be present. WACH invites the public to spend an hour immersed in color, texture, and imagination — “The Creator’s Hour” will be an enjoyable way to leave the outside world out and nurture the artistic spirit within.
Workshops will be held on Friday, June 27, from 4 to 5 p.m., and Saturday, June 28, from 4 to 5 p.m. Free and open to all. The workshops will take place at WACH, 2418 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton, in the courtyard garden. Dress appropriately for the day. In case of rain, workshops will be held indoors. Children 12 and over are welcome, accompanied by a parent. A suggested donation of $10 is appreciated. Space is limited, visit wachamptonsny.org to reserve.
