Walker Jr., 53, whom they described as homeless, and charged him with four misdemeanors after a reported confrontation between Walker and officers in the parking lot at the end of Beach Lane on the afternoon of July 16. He was charged with resisting arrest, reckless endangerment in the second degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, along with two violation charges, harassment and disorderly conduct. MONTAUK to AMAGANSETT to SPRINGS — Ameer-Humza Malik, 29, who has a Latham address on his driver’s license, turned himself in to East Hampton Town Police on July 9 and was placed under arrest on multiple criminal charges, while at the same time being issued 91 moving violation traffic tickets stemming from a May 25 incident. Police said Malik had refused to pull over when an officer put on his emergency lights a little before midnight on May 25. AMAGANSETT — Cristian R. Torres Cantos, 37, of Flushing, Queens, was arrested on misdemeanor DWI charges late Sunday afternoon by East Hampton Town Police. An officer investigating a report that the 2017 Toyota that Torres Cantos was said to be driving had been involved in a minor accident located the vehicle on the side of the road on Montauk Highway in the Beach Hampton area, engine running, and Torres Cantos asleep behind the wheel. EAST HAMPTON — Jender Chamba-Camacho, 25, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police Sunday evening on misdemeanor DWI charges. It was the second time in five days that Chamba-Camacho was arrested on such charges. On June 25, he was arrested by Southampton Town Police after reportedly crashing off-road into a light post, a point not lost on East Hampton Town Justice Steven Tekulsky during Chamba-Camacho’s arraignment on Monday morning. SPRINGS — Xavier Andres Arevalo Tazantez, 40, was arrested early Saturday evening by East Hampton Town Police on two misdemeanor charges: menacing in the second degree and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to use same, namely, an aluminum baseball bat.
