MONTAUK — East Hampton Town Police arrested Alejandro T. Leon, 33, on three misdemeanor charges: menacing in the second-degree, criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use in the fourth degree and resisting arrest, Saturday evening in a parking area in Camp Hero near the lighthouse. MONTAUK — Richard Alexander Cianci, 23, of Boston was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a felony, by East Hampton Town Police early morning on Memorial Day. Police said an officer saw Cianci walking near Main Street in downtown Montauk while openly snorting cocaine. When an officer approached Cianci, he said he saw him throw a glass vile to the ground. The white powdery contents of that vile later tested positive for cocaine, police said, and the weight of the powder, at almost 5 grams, was enough to raise the charge to the felony level. ...

SPRINGS — A Springs man reported to East Hampton Town Police earlier this month that he had been a target of a scheme to defraud. The man told police that an unknown individual from the Dominican Republic had hacked into his WhatsApp and Facebook accounts. The man said that this individual then reached out to his various friends on his contact list, impersonating him, asking for financial help. AMAGANSETT — Donya D. Davis, 30, of East Hampton, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police early Saturday morning on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree as well as a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs. Police said Davis was driving a 2018 Jeep on Montauk Highway with his emergency flashers around midnight Friday and was swerving erratically across lane lines, leading to a traffic stop. Diaz, 34, who has a Montauk address, on charges of menacing with a weapon in the second degree and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, both misdemeanors, a little after midnight on April 28.
