AMAGANSETT — Donya D. Davis, 30, of East Hampton, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police early Saturday morning on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree as well as a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs. Police said Davis was driving a 2018 Jeep on Montauk Highway with his emergency flashers around midnight Friday and was swerving erratically across lane lines, leading to a traffic stop. MONTAUK — East Hampton Town Police arrested Stalenyn P. Diaz, 34, who has a Montauk address, on charges of menacing with a weapon in the second degree and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree, both misdemeanors, a little after midnight on April 28. According to police, Diaz was riding an electric bike through Carl Fisher Plaza when he stopped abruptly in front of two officers’ marked patrol cars and pulled out what appeared to be a gun, pointing it at the officers, then sped off on the e-bike. EAST HAMPTON VILLAGE — A Springs man, Darnell J. Walker, 39, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police at East Hampton Village Police headquarters in the early morning on April 13 on a felony charge of criminal weapon possession in the third degree. Walker had come to the Village Police headquarters a little before midnight on April 12, apparently to register a complaint about an incident that had occurred in Springs previously. MONTAUK — A customer at a downtown gas station in downtown Montauk paid $12 cash for gas but then pumped less than $5 worth before driving off the evening of April 5. The driver later returned and became irate demanding his change for the transaction be returned, before going back to the pump and pumping out the rest of the gas he paid for. Police were called to calm things down. It became clear after interviewing several employees at the gas station that this was not the first such incident involving this customer.
