Marjorie Doris Andersen of Montauk died on December 30 at Poplar Hill Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Glen Cove. A homemaker, she was 74.
Born April 29, 1935, in Queens, to William Blume Jr. and Margaret Eunice Blume, she attended Bayside High School in Queens.
She is survived by a daughter, Gail Marjorie O’Dowd of Glen Cove; two sons, Peter Eric Andersen of Florida and Thomas Andersen Jr. of Colorado; a brother, Robert Blume Sr. of Baiting Hollow; eight grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews. Her husband, Thomas Andersen, predeceased her in 2007.
Visitation was on January 5 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. A funeral service was held on January 6, also at Yardley & Pino. Interment was at Fort Hill Cemetery in Montauk.
