Born February 17, 1914, in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Jacob and Francis Stupin, she graduated from Hoboken High School and was a housewife. An avid artist, she enjoyed ceramics, painting and silk flowers. She also loved to sew.
Survivors remembered her this week as a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow.
She is survived by a son, H. Thomas Quigley and his wife Theresa of East Hampton; a brother, Sonny Stupin of New Jersey; and a sister, Violet Stupin of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren; and three nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Hugh T. Quigley, a daughter, Judy Detoy, and a sister, Madeline O’Leary, all predeceased her.
A private memorial service was planned at the home of Thomas and Theresa Quigley.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Most Holy Trinity Church, 57 Buell Lane, East Hampton, NY 11933 would be appreciated by the family.
