Paul Granger Sr.
Paul Granger Sr. of Noyac and Sag Harbor died surrounded by loved ones at his home on Saturday, September 24. He was 75.
Born July 29, 1936, to George Henry Granger and Edith Heffron Granger in Jamaica, Queens, he graduated from Pierson High School and served as a machinist mate in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a Southampton Town police officer and radio officer for a number of years, and later with the Southampton Town Highway Department. For seven years he owned and operated Suffolk Electric Motors in Sag Harbor.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Lyllis, he is survived by his children, Lyllis G. Calaio and her husband Mark of Medford, Paul Granger Jr. of North Carolina, and Lisa G. Arnister and her partner Howie Rutherford of Noyac; siblings, Ray Granger and his wife Dawn of Kentucky, Robert Granger and his wife Jeanne of California; six grandchildren, Raymond James Topping of Bridgehampton, Kimberly Anne Topping of Kingston, Emily Foran of Noyac, Dara Danyluk and her husband Alex of Sherburne, Mitchell and Missy Granger of North Carolina; and two great-grandchildren, Adam Topping of North Carolina and Mackenzie Danyluk of Sherburne. He was predeceased by his grandchild, Dallas Arnister, and siblings Donald Granger and Grace Jennings.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 26, at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in Sag Harbor. Interment followed at Oakland Cemetery in Sag Harbor with military honors on Tuesday, September 27.
