Just Plane Fun Coming to Airport on Saturday

Hospice Seeking Volunteers

Astronomer To Talk About Mysteries Of Time and Place

Dr. David John Helfand, former president of Quest University Canada and past chair of Columbia University’s astronomy department, will give a lecture Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the East Hampton Library. The event, hosted by the Hamptons Observatory, begins at 7 p.m.

'Lighthouse Weekend' On Tap In Montauk

The Montauk Historical Society will host Lighthouse Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17, at the Montauk Lighthouse.
The event will feature historical demonstrations by the Third New York Regiment, established in 1775, with members dressed in full Revolutionary War-era uniforms and accoutrements. Visitors can also enjoy a performance by the Kings of the Coast Pirates on the Lighthouse stage.
