Sylvia E. Prevost, a resident of Sag Harbor for 34 years, died on February 19 at the Riverhead Care Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was 97.
A native of Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies, Windward Islands, she was born on March 3, 1912, to Adyliza and James Prevost and worked as a seamstress.
She is survived by two sons, Vivian G. Walsh of Wainscott and Osborne M. Walsh of Queens; a daughter, Esmeralda Walsh of England; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton.
