U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary East Moriches Flotilla Announces Open House at Station Shinnecock
Hampton Bays, NY -The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary East Moriches Flotilla, in partnership with U.S. Coast Guard Station Shinnecock, is pleased to announce an Open House event on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Coast Guard Station Shinnecock, located at 100 Foster Ave, Hampton Bays, NY.
This free, family-friendly event offers the public a unique chance to tour an active Coast Guard station and learn more about local maritime safety and operations. Planned activities include:
• Boat Tours
• Knot Tying Demonstrations
• Games and Light Refreshments
• A K-9 Demonstration by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office
• A Special Seal Release at 1:00 PM
In previous years, highlights have even included a Coast Guard Search and Rescue helicopter demonstration.
“The open house is a great opportunity for the community to meet the men and women who help protect our waters and to learn more about the Coast Guard and the Auxiliary ’s missions,” said Paul Meszik, Past Flotilla commander and event organizer.
