(2 Miles) - Once covered by water, Napeague has a low, flat profile studded with native pitch pine, American holly and shadbush. After walking the nature trail past relic dunes to the north, we will take a spur to taller oceanfront dunes in the south and explore the ocean beach. Wear face mask and warm clothing. Note the 11 o'clock start time. Watch carefully on the right for the Napeague State Park sign.
