The Village of Southampton was named a 2023 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation to honor its commitment to effective urban forest management. The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters. “We are thrilled that Southampton Village is being recognized again as a ‘Tree City USA,’” said Deputy Mayor Gina Arresta. “It’s further recognition of the real changes we have made toward investing in the future of the village, in a sustainable, environmentally forward way. There is nothing more beautiful than planting a tree and seeing it grow and we are proud of the natural beauty of this village, and we aim to preserve it for future generations.”
