“Iron Chef America” judge Karine Bakhoum will host the sixth annual Taste of Tuckahoe, a food and drink tasting event to benefit the Tuckahoe School PTO, on Friday, April 22, at 230 Elm.
Local restaurants, cafés, wineries and breweries will offer tastes of their fare. Participating vendors are 230 Elm, The Golden Pear, Edgewater, Twin Fork Beer, Southampton Social Club, BarBar Grille, Lobster Grille, Palmer Vineyards, Tully’s, 1 North Steakhouse, Blue Duck Bakery Cafe, Starbucks, South Fork Deli, Old School Favorites, Vindagra, Krieg’s Bakery, Sabrosa Mexican Grill, Saaz, Mercado, Sundays on the Bay, Village Gourmet Cheese Shoppe, Southampton Publick House and Stone Creek Inn. More businesses continue to sign up.
“It just keeps getting larger and larger every year,” said Kathy Grigo, a Tuckahoe School PTO co-secretary. Organizers reported 450 attendees last year, and more are expected in 2016.
Ms. Grigo said it is a great opportunity to sample what the East End has to offer, and as the event’s popularity and reputation has grown more vendors have asked to participate.
The event also includes Chinese and silent auctions and DJ Chris Cenzoprano will spin as guests enjoy themselves on the dance floor. New this year, there will be a photo booth.
The evening begins with a VIP hour including open bar at 6 p.m. General admission starts at 7 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m. GA tickets are $35 in advance, or $40 at the door. VIP tickets are $60, in advance only.
Tickets are available at tasteoftuckahoe.com and at Southrifty Drug, 52 Jagger Ln, Southampton. 230 Elm is located at 230 Elm Street, Southampton.
