East Hampton Historical Society’s summer lecture luncheon will host Southampton landscape architect Perry Guillot and designer David Netto for an intimate conversation on Thursday, August 12, at the Maidstone Club.

Mr. Netto, an author and designer of interiors and furniture, will introduce Mr. Guillot, who will discuss some of his most memorable projects, and then Mr. Netto will moderate a Q&A session.

Mr. Guillot has designed gardens for Tory Burch, Reed Krakoff, Aerin Lauder and Tina Brown and worked on the recent renovation of the White House Rose Garden. Originally from Baton Rouge, he received a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University. He moved permanently to Southampton in 2007.

The event begins at 11 a.m., and proceeds benefit the restoration, collections and exhibition projects of the East Hampton Historical Society. The Maidstone Club is at 50 Old Beach Lane, East Hampton. Tickets start at $250. Call the East Hampton Historical Society at 631-324-6850 extension 1, email info@easthamptonhistory.org or visit the Events page at easthamptonhistory.org.

Striking an underground electrical line can cause serious injury and outages, resulting in repair costs and fines, PSEG stated in an announcement this week. Every digging project, even a small project like planting a tree or building a deck, requires a call to 811. The call is free and the mark-out service is free.
