Suffolk County Water Authority adds electronic debit service

author27east on Nov 5, 2009

The Suffolk County Water Authority has launched a new online direct debit payment service. This added feature will allow customers to have their water payment automatically deducted from their banking account every billing cycle.

According to a press release sent by Suffolk County Water Authority Chairman Michael LoGrande and Board Secretary Patrick Halpin, the feature will not only provide customers with ease and convenience for payment, but is also a critical step in paper conservation. “This new service allows our customers to have their water
payments withdrawn directly from their bank account,” Mr. LoGrande explained.

“We hope this system simplifies customers’ lives just a bit and helps them ensure their bills are paid on time,” Mr. Halpin added. “This is also just another step in our efforts to go green.”

To enroll in the process, visit scwa.com, click on the “Sign Up for Direct Debit Payment” link and fill out the online form.

There is no charge to sign up for the program. Customers will receive a welcome e-mail and confirmation of enrollment after signing up. Deductions will be made from the customer’s account 20 days thereafter.

For more information, visit scwa.com or call (631) 698-9500.
