Time-saving techniques, workhorse plants and organic practices are some topics Kerry Ann Mendez will tackle when she gives an illustrated lecture called “Gardening Simplified: Plant This, Not That” on Sunday, October 12, at 2 p.m.
Sponsored by the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons, the talk will be held at the Bridgehampton Community House. It’s free for members of the alliance and $10 for non-members. Refreshments will be served.
Ms. Mendez is a consultant, designer, writer and lecturer whose third book, “The Right-Size Garden: Simplify Your Outdoor Space With Smart Design Solutions And Plant Choices,” will be released in February 2015. Her focus on Sunday will be low-maintenance perennial gardening and landscaping.
