“Five Minutes Max”—that’s the time each of 12 architects will have to discuss 15 images on Saturday.

Which works out to exactly 20 seconds per slide, making for a very lively pace.

The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill has changed the format for “Architectural Sessions,” now in its third installment and co-presented with AIA Peconic, a chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Rapid-fire presentations by East End professionals at PechaKucha Night Hamptons at the Parrish have been a big hit—“always way sold out” and the museum’s most popular program, according to Susan Galardi, the museum’s director of public relations.

So that will be the setup at noon on Saturday for “a tapestry of presentations about architecture on the East End in a way that distinguishes local architects as experts on the subject,” as the architecture program’s moderator, Maziar Behrooz, has expressed it.

Mr. Behrooz has asked each participant to consider a topic or theme that arose when he or she tackled a project on the East End—anything from materials to inspirational buildings to the specific environment or history of this area.

Participating architects are Hideaki Ariizumi and Glynis Berry of Studio A/B Architecture, John Berg of Berg Design Architects, Bill Chaleff of Chaleff & Rogers Architects, Jonathan Foster of nyArchitect, Maxine Nachtigal Liao of Maxine Nachtigal Liao, Nick Martin of Martin Architects, Michael McCrum of McCrum Architects, James Merrell of James Merrell Architects, John Rose of John David Rose Architects, Steve Schappacher of Schappacher White Architecture, Ric Stott of Flynn + Stott Architects, and Fred H. Throo of Fred Throo Architects and Architecture One.

The mediator, Mr. Behrooz, founded MB Architecture in the 1990s in Manhattan and opened an office in East Hampton in 1996. His firm’s work, which often involves civic and art projects as well as residential ones, has been recognized for its functionalism, innovation and sustainable design, according to the Parrish.

Tickets to Saturday’s program, which starts at noon, cost $10 and are free to members, children and students. They also cover admission to the museum. Advance reservations are recommended by going to parrishart.org or calling (631) 283-2118, extension 0.
