Saunders & Associates is hosting its fifth annual Can-Do Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit local food pantries.
The real estate firm is again hosting the food drive in each of its four offices, which are serving as drop-off locations for donations of nonperishable food. Donations will be delivered to the East Hampton, Springs, Bridgehampton, Southampton, Hampton Bays and Westhampton food pantries.
Items needed include canned fruits, canned vegetables, canned soup and broth, dried beans, cereal, cooking oil, gravy, jelly, juice, oatmeal, pasta, pasta sauce (no glass bottles), peanut butter, rice, tuna, shelf-stable milk, coffee and tea.
Last year, Saunders collected and donated 14,000 cans of food. To encourage more donations in 2019, for every 250 packages of food donated, Saunders will donate a frozen turkey to a pantry.
Donations may be dropped off by Monday, November 18, at any of the firm’s offices: 26 Montauk Highway, East Hampton; 2287 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton; 14 Main Street, Southampton; and 33 Sunset Avenue, Westhampton Beach.
