Compass has acquired the Mrs. Condie Lamb Agency, the oldest continuously operating real estate firm in East Hampton, according to a release.

Kim Hovey, the sole proprietor of Condie Lamb, is joining Compass immediately, bringing along her portfolio of sales and rentals.

“As the president and owner of her own firm, Kim has earned a stellar reputation in the highly competitive Hamptons market,” said Robert Reffkin, founder and CEO of Compass, in the press release. “Her loyal client base and extensive referral business are a testament to her local knowledge and business acumen. We are thrilled to welcome Kim to Compass,”

Ms. Hovey also has development experience as a principal and consultant for commercial, residential and multi-use properties in East Hampton and New York City. Compass says her knowledge of construction and zoning laws is valuable to both buyers and sellers in assessing a property’s potential for investment or personal use.

Prior to her more than 30-year real estate career, Ms. Hovey was an assistant professor at Stony Brook University. She was the treasurer and president of the Ross School Parents Association and founder and president of the Hands Creek Farm Property Owners Association. Ms. Hovey is a current member of the East Hampton LVIS and the Presidents Club at Colgate University.

The Mrs. Condie Lamb Agency was founded in 1963 by Elizabeth Lamb, and Ms. Hovey took over the business.
