East Hampton Town, Brokers Offering Help With Rental Registry

author27east on Jan 16, 2016

East Hampton Town officials announced on Friday that the workshops it will be holding on January 20 to explain the implementation of the coming rental registry law for real estate agents and landlords are fully booked.

The same workshops will be held at three different times again on January 27, though geared toward the general public and homeowners. The workshops will take place at East Hampton Town Hall at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. There are still spots open for those workshops and the town has asked that anyone who plans to attend reserve a spot by calling Supervisor Larry Cantwell's office at 324-4140.

Some brokers have already begun preparing their rental clients for registering their rental properties. Registration will begin on February 1 and the law will be implemented on May 1.

Saunders & Associates, a Bridgehampton-based real estate agency, released a short YouTube video tutorial on Friday explaining some of the details of the rental registry law.
