A former personal home of the late modernist architect Norman Jaffe in Bridgehampton recently sold for $7.5 million.

On a 1.1-acre flag lot at 635 Lumber Lane, the main house has wood plank walls and ceilings, flame-cut heated stone floors, and beautiful light with stunning views, according to the listing. The compound has four bedrooms and four bathrooms in all with several flexible living spaces organized around a courtyard with mature trees, a heated Gunite pool with spa, and bluestone patios.

Charles Forman, the Compass agent who represented the seller, said the home has been renovated and restored while remaining true to Jaffe’s rustic modern beach house.

Martin Architects of Sagaponack was responsible for the renovation.

“The property is surrounded by unencumbered views, an agricultural reserve to the south, a horse farm to the north and over 30 acres of farmland owned by the Peconic Land Trust to the northeast,” Forman said. “Most importantly the property is adjacent to the Channing wine vineyard. The new owners are friends of the Channings making this an ideal purchase for them to be nearby.”

The main house has an upstairs master suite, two guest rooms, a living room, formal dining room, chef’s kitchen, den/media room, and a ground-floor bedroom and bath. “Studio #1” has a double height great room, a kitchenette, a full bathroom and a sitting room, and “Studio #2” is suited for a home office, art studio or gym.

The deal closed on April 21, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., which said the seller was Henryk De Kwiatkowski and the new owner is Willow Six LLC. De Kwiatkowski purchased the property for $3.4 million in 2015, town property records states.
