A residence by architect Francis Fleetwood in the Georgica section of East Hampton Village recently sold for $9 million, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.

The 9,264-square-foot traditional built in 2003 sits on 1.6 acres at 8 Jericho Lane and has six bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms.

The first-floor master has a sun-drenched sitting area and dual baths, according to the listing. The bright living spaces have soaring ceilings and showcase the attention to detail. The gourmet kitchen has restored Pennsylvania barn wood floors and flows into the den and breakfast area.

A carved staircase leads to the second floor, where there are four en-suite bedrooms, a den/library and a gym.

There are more than 3,000 square feet of porches and decking that overlook the heated gunite pool and the gardens with specimen plantings and trees.

The late Mr. Fleetwood, who died in 2015, is known for sprawling shingle-style mansions and is credited with designing more than 200 homes on the South Fork since 1980 for wealthy celebrities and investors. His eponymous firm is based in East Hampton.

The Jericho Lane property had a last asking price of $9.95 million, and last spring it was seeking $10.75 million.

Corcoran’s Randi Ball had the listing. The deal closed on December 16, 2020.

The seller was Nancy Amato Trust and the new owners are Colleen O’Callaghan and Stephen Hawkey.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the demise of the Hamptons summer-rental market are greatly exaggerated. “Any hint that the Hamptons rental market is anything but robust is completely wrong,” said Corcoran associate broker Gary DePersia in East Hampton. An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
