Water Mill’s Island in the Sky, a 15-acre estate at one of the highest elevations in the Hamptons, is going on the auction block this month.

Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions, in cooperation with Angela Boyer Stump of Sotheby’s International Realty, will offer 984 and 984A Noyac Path for auction from January 24 to 31.

Artist Setsuo Ito designed the feng shui-inspired modern home. White pines line a half-mile private drive to the estate. A grand entryway leads to the living room, gallery and contemporary dining and renovated kitchen area with white glass flooring and white stone countertops. An open gas fireplace is one of the home’s most prominent interior amenities.

A pool cabana is crowned with a two-tiered steel pyramid left open to the elements and orientated to the four points of the compass, “designed to frame the endless vistas surrounding the property,” according to the listing.

The unique pool was prominently featured in the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1994 music video for “Juicy.” The pool is surrounded by an approximately 5,000-square-foot rooftop ipe deck with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Peconic Bay.

The elevation of both the 9-acre developed property and the adjoining 6-acre property, which could accommodate an 8,000-square-foot home, is approximately 300 feet. Another 15 acres or so of preserved land surrounds the properties.

The list price is $8 million but the auction reserve price is just $2.95 million.

“From the offering of nearly 15 acres to the limitless possibility to create a dream compound, this is simply not an opportunity to buy that comes around every day,” Boyer Stump said.

Bidding with take place via Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions’ online marketplace, casothebys.com. As part of Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions’ Key for Key giving program in partnership with Giveback Homes, the closing will result in a new home built for a family in need.
